Trauma-Informed Integrative Somatic Therapy

For the parts of you that are ready to be met.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy begins from the understanding that the body is not separate from our psychology, it is where our psychology lives. Our nervous system carries the imprint of our experiences, and over time these imprints shape how we relate, how we respond, and how present or disconnected we feel to ourselves and in our own lives.

So rather than only talking about what's happening, integrative somatic therapy works with what is unfolding in real time. We pay close attention to breath, sensation, emotion, movement and the nervous system's responses. We notice shifts, areas of tension, activation or numbness, and gently listen to what these signals are communicating. We come into conversation with the body to work with what is moving through you, alongside the deeper layers living in beliefs and stories.

Sessions are guided at your pace, with choice and safety at the centre of the process. Along the way I may offer reflections, simple somatic practices and resourcing tools, drawn from my training and my own experience, and the work is trauma-informed throughout.

Within a steady therapeutic relationship, new experiences can begin to emerge, not only an understanding of what has happened, but a different way of being with yourself. This work meets the whole of you: the story you can tell, the patterns you can name, and the story your body has been carrying, in its protection strategies and in the parts of you that haven't yet felt safe to be seen or heard.

At its core, somatic therapy is not about fixing anything. It brings us deeper into embodiment. It's a practice of return. An exploration. An invitation. An opportunity to expand your capacity to be with what is. This work is a doorway back into deeper knowing and connection to the intelligence that lives within and speaks through the body and the breath.

Who is this work for?

You might be drawn to this work if any of this sounds familiar:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or a constant sense of pressure from holding or carrying too much

  • Feeling flat, numb, or cut off from your emotions

  • Tension, exhaustion, or burnout

  • Disconnection from your body, or a difficult relationship with it

  • Difficulty trusting yourself, your feelings, or your decisions

  • Repeating patterns in relationships, self-abandoning, giving too much, losing yourself in others

  • Restlessness, difficulty focusing, or patterns you may relate to ADHD

  • Life transitions, identity shifts, or a loss of direction

  • A sense that something isn't right, even if you can't name what

  • Difficulty around food, eating, or how you see and feel about your body

I also support people with psychedelic integration and those working with the body after deep and transformative experiences.

If food and body image are at the heart of what's bringing you here, my embodied eating work goes deeper into exactly this.

You don't need to find yourself in this list to belong here. If something in you recognises this, that's enough.

Why work with me

Before any practice or technique, what I offer is a container, a held field for the nervous system and body to soften. I take great care in building every container because from this ground, everything else can grow from it.

The work unfolds from the bottom-up, and we follow the body's pace, listening to sensation, to breath, to the patterns and the parts that show themselves when space is given. Your own knowing and capacity lead the way, and my guidance is offered as an invitation and never imposed.

I bring my own lived experience to this work, alongside my training. There were years when I could describe my own patterns in detail and still couldn't feel my way into my body. The path home is not linear, but working with the body in this way has allowed me, and my clients, to expand the capacity to be with self, transforming how we feel, how we relate to self and others, and how we move through the world. My lived experience and my knowing that we cannot do this alone and were never meant to deeply inform the way I hold space.

What I offer is offered as an invitation and never imposed. You do not need a clear problem or a diagnosis to begin; often, people come simply with a sense that they want to feel more connected, steady, and at home in themselves. This is a space to come home to yourself, to soften and to be nurtured while you find your way back.

The body holds a story that is
waiting to be listened to.

What this work can offer

Somatic therapy is a whole-body approach. Everyone's process is their own, but over time this work can offer...

  • A relationship with your body where it becomes somewhere you can live from, embodied and at home in

  • An understanding of your nervous system, a deeper attunement to why you respond the way you do, and practical tools and pathways that can support you.

  • More capacity to be with what you feel, the comfortable and the uncomfortable.

  • Practical ways of resourcing and settling yourself that stay with you between sessions.

  • Steadiness through life's thresholds, endings, transitions, and initiations.

  • The possibility of processing what the body has been holding from the past, gently, and only once safety and resourcing are established between us.

  • More room for joy, aliveness, connection, and a felt sense of alignment between how you feel and how you live.

  • And often, relationships that begin to shift on their own, because when you can stay with yourself, you meet others, and the world differently.

I'm not a clinician, and this work is not a substitute for any medical or psychiatric care. If you're in crisis or in active treatment, you're welcome to reach out and we can talk through whether now is the right time to work together.

Work with Me 1:1

Somatic Therapy · working together

This work requires time. The nervous system doesn't reorganise itself in a session or two, it learns safety the way it learned everything else, through repetition, relationship and pace. We will work together in a therapeutic container for a minimum of 6-12 sessions, where trust can be built over time so the body has time and space to feel safe enough to come forward and be brought into the conversation.

A first conversation · free
Thirty minutes, online. Space to talk about what's bringing you here, ask anything you need to, and sense whether this feels like the right fit. No pressure attached, sometimes the answer is not yet, or not this, and that's a useful answer too.

Block of 6 sessions · £375 · Block of 12 sessions · £750
These sessions work best weekly; however, we can fit them around your schedule and what you need. 12 sessions give enough time for your system to settle into the work. Many people feel to continue the work after an initial 12 sessions to make space and allow for the work to really begin to be integrated. Payments can be split on a monthly basis or paid in full, up front.

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online. Working online with somatic practice does not dilute the depth of the work. It makes the work more accessible and flexible to your schedule, as well as offering the opportunity for you to feel more resourced in your own safe space. This commitment is for you and your process and your individual journey more than anything else.

A number of sliding scale places are held for those who need them, no questions asked. Please reach out to discuss this if you need financial support to access this work.

I currently have limited spaces for new clients. I intentionally only hold a certain number of clients at any one time to be in full service and support to those I work with
