Embodied Eating &
Nutritional Therapy
A somatic, trauma-informed approach to food, body and self.
Your body and your relationship to food have been trying to tell you something.
Maybe it speaks through digestive discomfort, fatigue, or hormonal disruption. Maybe it speaks through the way you reach for food when you're not hungry, or pull away from it when you are. Maybe it's quieter, signals of numbness, disconnection, and a sense that something underneath all of this needs more than another diet or nutrition plan.
Most approaches to eating and nutrition focus only on what you eat. This work asks a different question: what might the way you eat, and the way you feel in your body, be saying about your inner world?
Patterns around food, such as restriction, avoidance, reaching for comfort, eating past fullness, guilt, rules, anxiety and chaos, are not failures of willpower or discipline. They are the body's intelligent responses to unmet needs, unprocessed emotions, and a nervous system that hasn't yet felt safe enough to settle.
Embodied Nutrition weaves together nutritional therapy, somatic awareness, eating psychology and nervous system support. These embodied sessions explore not just what you're eating but what your body is actually asking for. Together we work with what is happening in your body before, during and after eating. We listen to the sensations, the emotions and the stories that arise.
We also explore the different parts of you that show up around food. The part that restricts, the part that reaches, the part that is trying to protect you. Each part is met with curiosity rather than judgment, and listened to rather than fixed.
Because your body was never against you. It was always trying to tell you something.
This work might be for you if...
Maybe you're navigating digestive discomfort, hormonal shifts, fatigue or skin issues that won't settle.
Maybe you have a complicated relationship with food that involves restriction, bingeing, emotional eating, or the exhausting cycle of chronic dieting.
Maybe you feel disconnected from your hunger, your body, or your own sense of what you actually need.
Maybe you've tried everything, and nothing seems to reach the root.
Maybe you're in eating disorder recovery, or returning to this work again, differently this time.
Or maybe you simply want to feel more at peace in your own body, and you're not quite sure where to start.
How it works
Sessions begin with where you are. Together we explore the physical signals your body is sending alongside the emotional, nervous system and relational patterns that shape how you eat, how you nourish yourself, and how safe you feel in your own skin.
There are no strict eating plans and rules. There is no "fixing”, magic pill or a one size fits all approach. Instead, we work with listening, curiosity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to understanding what your body is actually trying to communicate.
Depending on your needs, we may draw on nutritional therapy and functional support or testing, as well as somatic and embodiment practices, nervous system regulation, eating psychology, breathwork and energy work.
If your relationship with food or your body feels confusing, exhausting or stuck, then you are in the right place.
Work with me 1:1
These sessions and packages are a space to explore the root causes of imbalances whether physically, emotionally, and energetically. We begin by listening to your body and building a foundation of nourishment that supports long-term healing.
From here, we explore your relationship with food, your nervous system, your body and your self in order to gently and safely unravel old patterns by reconnecting you with your body’s natural rhythm and wisdom.

Welcome home to your body.
I didn’t come to this work just through textbooks. I came to it through lived experience.
For over a decade, I lived with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, addiction, anxiety and depression. Alongside that came several years of severe hormonal disruption, including 7 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea, where I had no menstrual cycle, severe digestive issues, chronic skin problems and insomnia. I was disconnected from my body, ignoring its signals, and living in a constant loop of deep control, fear and depletion.
I tried everything. From psychotherapy, CBT, hypnosis, clinical treatment, and residential rehab. Some gave reprieve and support, yet none ever touched the root, and I kept looping back to destructive behaviours as a way to manage and control what I was running from within. It wasn't until I leaned in toward the body and became curious about my relationship with food and my body, how my nervous system had learned to protect me, and what I was truly hungry for that things began to shift.
Slowly, layer by layer, I stopped trying to see my body as something to fix and continuously trying to heal what I believed was wrong with me, and started coming home to myself. Through somatics, food as medicine, breath, and simply learning to listen, I learned to slowly trust my body again. I began to remember and return to the essence of who I'd always been underneath the patterns. And this is the why and the what underneath the space that I hold for others now.

We begin with a gentle check-in around how you're arriving, what’s been coming up, and what and where you’re wanting support with. Sessions are a blend of conversation, exploration, education, and embodied practices. Depending on your needs, we may look at nutrition, food behaviours, symptom patterns, nervous system responses, or simply what’s present that day.
Where appropriate, practices, gentle nutrition support, supplement suggestions and much more will be provided via email after your session.
Each session is guided by where you are so you can be safely met.
-
This varies on where you are at. Some people come for short-term guidance to understand how they can improve their diet, while others choose ongoing support as they navigate symptoms or want to look deeper in to behavioural patterns around food.
I offer 30-minute clarity calls to understand better where you are at, and together we can work out how best to structure working together. -
Initial sessions are 75-90 minutes, with follow-ups available for 50minutes.
-
Yes, packages are available.
We will discuss on the phone how many sessions may be best for you, however buying a package of sessions may work out more cost effective.
-
Not necessarily. If I feel testing might be helpful to explore deeper imbalances (gut health, hormones, etc.), we’ll discuss it together. I only suggest functional testing when it supports the process rather than as a default.
-
Yes. Before your first session, you'll be asked to complete a health questionnaire so I can get a clear picture of your current symptoms, history, and needs. In some cases, I may also invite you to complete a short food diary. This isn’t about judgment or control, but about bringing awareness to your patterns so we can work from a place of understanding, not assumption.
All information is held in confidence, and you're always welcome to share only what feels right for you.
These forms help me support you with clarity and care so that together we can meet your body and your process with care from the very beginning.
-
Yes. I work with individuals at various stages of eating disorder recovery from early awareness to post-treatment integration. If you’re in active crisis, I will always recommend working alongside a wider care team for safety and support.
This is a non-clinical space, but one rooted in lived experience, nervous system awareness, and deep respect for the complexity of this journey.
-
Absolutely. This isn’t just for people with diagnosed EDs. If you're experiencing food anxiety, body disconnection, fatigue, or just want to feel more at peace in your body then this work is for you.
If your relationship with food or body feels confusing, numb, or exhausting then this is a space to explore that, free from labels or pressure.
-
Absolutely. Many of the clients I work with are also receiving support from doctors, therapists, or other practitioners. My approach can be a complementary part of your healing process, and I’m always happy to work collaboratively alongside your care team when appropriate.
That said, I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions. My role is to support your body’s natural capacity for regulation and healing through nutrition, embodiment, and nervous system support. If there are specific limitations or needs to be aware of, we’ll discuss them together and adapt our work to meet you where you are.
This is your process and I’ll always honour what feels right, safe, and supportive for your unique situation.
-
Yes. Breathwork supports nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and reconnection to the body, all of which are deeply intertwined with food and eating behaviours. If you’re open, we can integrate breath into your sessions when appropriate.
The breath often gives voice to what the body has been holding by gently helping to shift patterns from the inside out.
-
In the right container, absolutely. Breathwork can be a powerful tool for healing disconnection, supporting emotional release, and re-inhabiting the body with safety. I offer breath in a trauma-aware, titrated way that honours your unique process and capacity.
